Menu Plan Monday 12/28

We love having smoothies for breakfast at my house.  It is a super quick thing to make, and the kids think they taste great.  Plus I can usually throw in an extra healthy ingredient without them knowing.

My new favorite thing to add into our smoothies is POM.  What is that you ask?  It’s pomegranate juice plain and simple, and it makes a nice addition to almost any of the smoothies I usually make.  Of course you could also check out the recipes they have on their site as well for desserts, beverages, appetizers, and more.

What I love about POM Pomegranate juice is the fact that it is 100% pomegranate juice.  No filler juices or water added.  What you think you are buying is exactly what you’ll get!

POM juice offers a lot of health benefits because they are so full of antioxidant power!  You can read all of the scientific studies regarding the health benefits here. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the easier things I will do in the New Year to help my family become much more healthy.

Now onto this weeks menu.  If you need help coming up with some menu plans of your own, or just don’t feel like you have the time to do so, Click Here to Subscribe at Relish! to select recipes for your weekly menu and print your grocery shopping list!  You can choose to buy a month long membership to help you get the ideas rolling and to get you used to preparing a menu for your family.

Breakfast and lunch is pretty much the same around my house which is why that part of the menu never changes.

Breakfasts - consists of oatmeal, cold cereal, fruit smoothies, toast & poached eggs.

Lunches - consists of soups, peanut butter sandwiches, or dinner leftovers.

Dinners - I will try to include lots of veggies this week.

I don’t plan a Sunday meal. Usually we have a very late lunch and just find something small for dinner. Either way I don’t plan because I like to be flexible for anything that pops up.

Are you changing any of your families eating habits to get healthier in the New Year?
