Tony Hawk: Ride

The Fed Ex guy dropped off our new Tony Hawk: Ride game for the Wii a couple days ago, and I have to say this has become practically the only thing my kids want t do these days.  I knew that they would love it!

The day it came I didn’t bother to fight them to do school because I knew it was all over. This is THE toy were were hoping to get them for Christmas this year after seeing it everywhere. Unfortunately we just couldn’t make it happen. But that just added to the excitement of knowing it was on its way.

Basically if you have anyone in your house who has ever had a secret longing to be the next professional skateboarder, this is the game for them!

I can’t believe the games that keep coming out for the Wii. I mean seriously, this is a game where you ride a skateboard for real. This is not at all the way I used to play Tony Hawk Skate or Die. The bundle comes with both the game and the skateboard. It was super easy to set up, in fact my 12 year old son had it up in running in about 5 minutes.

Wii GamesTony Hawk: Ride is completely interactive. And it is so nice to see a video game where both of my kids can get involved and enjoy playing together. It’s also pretty cool that it is an active game as well, gone are the days when kids just sit around on a couch all day playing video games. This game is made for all skill levels including the no skill level. There are hundreds of tricks to master, so you are guaranteed hours of boarding fun.

Tony Hawk: Ride can be found just about anywhere. It’s regular retail price is $119.00, but Amazon has the Tony Hawk: Ride Skateboard Bundle for $99.99 which is a twenty dollars savings.

Technical details of Tony Hawk:Ride

  • Four different modes built into the game include: Challenge, Speed, Trick, and Free Skate in epic locations across the globe.
  • Includes the Innovative ‘Ride’ board controller featuring motion sensing technology, smart sensors, a contoured base and a gritty surface to ensure a good grip.
  • With no complicated control schemes to master, the game is designed to allow players to get on the board and start mastering the 100+ built in moves from the beginning.
  • Eight player multiplayer and online play support lets you and your friends feel the thrill of skateboarding together.
  • Multiple difficulty levels make the game a fun and challenging experience for people of all skill levels.
  • This game can be purchased for Wii, XBox, and Playstation systems.

Just another little bit of information about the actual skateboard itself.  You can use the board with other skateboarding or snowboarding games as well.

After having it in the house for a few days I can honestly say this will be one of our family favorites for a good long while!

Check out the Tony Hawk Channel for lots of great videos to get a better idea of just how cool the Tony Hawk: Ride game really is!
