I am really happy to see the gas prices going down in my neck of the woods instead of soaring high as they have been doing lately.

In our never ending quest to save more and more money we have had to take a good hard look at how much money we spend on gas compared to how much we have to spend on gas just to do the things that are a necessary part of our everyday lives.

I have already done a few things to conserve the gas in our gas tanks.

The first thing I do is try to plan as many errands as possible around another outing. So if I need to take the kids to their piano lesson then I’ll add a couple of stops on the way there and home.

lso we use my car as much as possible and leave Rich’s gas guzzling work truck at home. This saves us a lot of money. It costs about $100 a week to keep his truck going! That’s ridiculous to me.

Rich was talking with our neighbor about his new motorcycle the other day. My neighbor said he was also paying about $100 a week for gas. Now he pays $8 a week!

I couldn’t believe it. That’s a huge savings!

Rich has wanted a motorcycle for a long time and if gas keeps it up he just might have to get one.
Although it costs so much less for the motorcycle’s gas, we would have to consider the cost of the motorcycle itself. Then there is also the cost of the extras like motorcycle helmets, motorcycle jackets, and motorcycle boots.

I have to think that companies like Biker Hiway aren’t hurting from the rising gas prices.
