Although thoughts of sending the kids Back to School or preparing for a new school year are probably beginning to fill your head, I declare that summer has not come to an end just yet!
There are plenty more nights to be spent outdoors enjoying the summer sun and long days.
We have been cooking on the grill just about every night. And at this oint in time it has become chicken, hamburgers, brats, steak, and pork chops. Repeat.
I’ll admit that I was beginning to get bored of the same cycle of barbecued foods over.
But we had an opportunity to try out the new Chicken Grillables from Barber foods and they were great! Plus it was nice to get a break from the ordinary and try something new.
You can see where to find them near you by entering your zip code here where it says “Where to Buy” at the top of the page.
One thing that I have found helps to break up the monotony is by adding great tasting side dishes! Our favorite this year has been cole slaw, but there are a ton of recipes that you can choose from here.
Be sure to read down to the bottom of this post for another great way to get grilling!
Now on to this weeks menu plan.
Breakfast and lunch is pretty much the same around my house which is why that part of the menu never changes.
Breakfasts – consists of oatmeal, cold cereal, fruit smoothies, toast & poached eggs.
Lunches – consists of soups, peanut butter or tuna sandwiches, and dinner leftovers.
Dinners – I will try to include lots of veggies this week.
~ Monday ~
Brats and Cole Slaw, Spaghetti Salad
~ Tuesday ~

~ Wednesday ~

~ Thursday ~

~ Friday ~

Usually we have a very late lunch and just find something small for dinner. Either way I don’t plan because I like to be flexible for anything that pops up.
