Are you looking for a unique experience for your child this summer?

Might I suggest the FREE Flights for Kids from EAA?

We did this with my son several years ago and he loved it. How many of us can say we have flown a real airplane?

This is not just a plane ride, the pilots allow each child the opportunity to take control of the plane and fly it themselves!

After they finish their flight, they get a neat certificate, but I am willing to bet that it pales in comparison to the actual bragging rights of saying you’ve flown a plane.

Ever wondered what your neighborhood looks like from the sky? Or maybe you’re curious how airplanes even work. You might even dream about being a pilot.

If you’re nodding your head “Yes” and are between the ages of 8 and 17, you’re ready to take a free Young Eagles flight and see what real pilots do on the ground and in the air.

Since 1992, more than 1.8 million Young Eagles have enjoyed a flight from EAA’s network of volunteer pilots. For many, it was the start of their journey to becoming a pilot, aircraft mechanic, air traffic controller, or many other career possibilities.

What about Homeschoolers?

These Free Homeschool Report Cards are the perfect way to be able to offer your child a real report card.

I received a question on my Good Report Card Freebies post that I wanted to take a moment to answer here.

The question was do those programs work for homeschoolers?

My answer is, that all you need is a report card.  You don’t need to announce that you are homeschooled.  These programs are for good grades, it doesn’t say good public school or private school grades.

Just good grades and a good report card.

So here are a coupole of my favorite printable FREE Homeschool Report Cards that you can use for your children.

This first one is the one I’ve personally used in the past.

Donna Young has a ton of useful printables for homeschoolers and her report forms are top notch in my opinion!

Just the Mommies has a couple of nice report card forms that you can choose from based on what you like.

Printable Homeschool has a very basic report card form that you may choose for younger ages.

I hope this help my fellow homeschoolers to be able to offer some of the Good Report Card Freebies to their kids too!

FREE Vacation Bible School Curriculum

I have many great memories planning Vacation Bible School with my friends and family and seeing how lives were touched during that week.

I shared this FREE Vacation Bible School Curriculum last year, and I know it was a blessing to many.  That is why I am sharing it here again for those of you already thinking about your VBS programs.

You can download everything from The Armor Of God Vacation Bible School Curriculum FREE!

I remember how much I loved working on VBS each year for the kids in my local neighborhood!  It was a great time to serve as a family while giving kids the chance to see God in us.  I belonged to a very small urban church at the time that didn’t have a lot of extra funds so we used our imagination to come up with inexpensive treats, crafts, and decorations.

Eventually my friend who was in charge of everything decided to write her own curriculum to save on the over priced ones available.  I know she put hours into preparing everything.  This curriculum is completely FREE!

It includes a printable Directors manual, student activity books, teacher handbooks, coloring pages, craft ideas, and much more!
