When I was a young girl I always wanted those teeny bopper magazines.
You know the ones filled with the guys we were supposed to drool over as well as a bunch of unedifying tips on how to snag the guy.
When my daughter was becoming a teen, she wanted them too. I chose not to allow her to have them simply because I did not want her to get the wrong idea about what it meant to be a young woman.
I wouldn’t say the entire magazine was necessarily wrong, but there was enough questionable stuff that I just said they were off limits.
I wish there would have been another option.
Now there is! Sisterhood Magazine states that their purpose is to lead teen girls into intimacy with Christ, guide them in developing healthy relationships, showcase positive entertainment choices, provide healthy role models and teach positive self-image.
That is exactly what is missing from the other magazines available.
Sisterhood Magazine is a bimonthly, 64-page print and mobile magazine. The cost of a print subscription to Sisterhood Magazine is $26 in the U.S. and $28 in Canada. Subscriptions are also available on iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Kindle Fire.
