I am always looking for fun and unique learning opportunities and resources for my son, especially when it come to math!

He has always picked up on math easily just like it was a first language for him.  He was doing simple addition and subtraction problems when he was 2 years old.  It was like a game for him and I loved seeing how his mind worked.

I was recently asked to try out Brainetics and I knew right away this was something I wanted my son to be able to use.

What is Brainetics?

After the first lesson on how to solve magic squares I knew this one was a keeper.  It’s not just the fact that you are learning ways to astound family and friends with you math skills, but this kit makes it FUN too!

There are 5 DVD’s included in the kit.  We have only worked on the first DVD so far and I am looking forward to the other topics that we will get to on the other DVD’s.

My husband is the type that likes a good meal at the end of a hard days work!  Recently he was given the opportunity to Eat Like a Man with Barber Foods!

I generally like to be able to have dinner ready when my husband comes home from a long day.  But the reality is that there are just some days when I cannot do it and he is left fending for himself.  Usually this means he’ll stop for some junky fast food or a pizza on the way home.

It was very easy to pull the Chicken Cordon Bleu from the freezer and put it on a cookie sheet to cook.  

I used the time it was cooking to shower and cleanup from my day at work.  It took less than a half hour to get everything made. We had some twice baked potatoes and green beans that I added to make a complete meal and it was really great.  It didn’t taste at all like I thought a frozen meal would taste and I was very satisfied with the dinner.  

I hope to try other varieties of Barber Foods soon.

We eat a lot of chicken at my house.  Seriously if you look at my menu plans each week you’ll notice that chicken is an ingredient in about half of our meals.

I stock up whenever I find boneless skinless chicken breast on sale for less than $1.99 a pound.

This chicken is FRESH (never frozen).  In fact when I picked up my chicken they told me it was butchered just four days before!

Once you receive your box you will need to trim the fat off the chicken and separate it into freezer bags.  These pieces of chicken were huge!  So I put 4 Pieces of chicken per bag and ended up with  bags of chicken.  This will be enough for dinners!

My plastic Easy Find containers have held up great for over a year now!  I imagine the glass ones will last forever, unless someone breaks them.

You’ll see that the new glass containers still use the Easy Find Lid system which make organizing your cupboards so simple.

A few other things to note:

*Tempered glass is oven safe up to 425° so you can easily bring it from the oven to your dinner table.  The lids are not oven safe so make sure you take them off when baking.

*Easy Find Lid System is one feature I am glad to see is still avalable even with the glass containers.  These lids stack neatly to keep your cupboards nice and clean!

It has been many moons since I had to think about potty training.

I remember using every trick in the book to get my kids potty trained.  I couldn’t wait until the day I could leave my diaper bag at home for good!

My son was easy, but my daughter was harder because we allowed her to form a habit of taking a bottle to bed with her.  We were so young and didn’t realize that it would be a bad habit that would be so hard to break.
