After an amazing roadtrip, it was time to come back home.

We wanted to take advantage of the complementary breakfast that the Country Inn & Suites had to offer one last time before we hit the road. What we didn’t know is that they close the kitchen a bit earlier during the week than they do on the weekends. Rich and Richie went down to get breakfast and found that everything was put away. But because the staff is so nice and accommodating, the sweet lady (in the picture to the left) pulled EVERYTHING back out just for us! They loaded up a few plates and brought it all back to the room for us to enjoy our meal in our beautiful Parlor Suite.

It was a great way to end the trip.

I must tell you a little about the hotel I stayed in. The manager, Dave, was the friendliest and most helpful manager I’ve ever met. Partly because he just is, and mostly because he is the only manager I’ve ever met while staying at a hotel. I’m telling you the staff and the atmosphere of the place left you feeling so comfortable that you felt like you were at home.

I stayed in the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Madison location. Some of the amenities included:

~ 24 hour pool, hot tub, and fitness room.
~ Complementary Breakfast well worth getting up for.
~ Free fresh baked chocolate chip, oatmeal, and peanut butter cookies. They also had a basket of apples and a basket of candy in the lobby.
~ 100% Non Smoking Facility
~ Pets Welcome
~ Game Room
~ Read and return it Library where you can choose a book to take with you and return to a Country Inn & Suites on your next stay.
~ High Speed Internet.

Also, when you book your Sweet Deal get-away for arrivals now through September 13, 2009 and save 15% off a stay of 2 or more consecutive nights. And be sure to check out the Itineraries that have been put together by moms who chose the locations based on family fun that is budget friendly so you’ll get the most bang for you buck. I used the Streams and Shores Itinerary for my roadtrip.

I have to admit that before Country Inn & Suites offered me this free stay I had never even heard of them. However on our ride home we made a game out of being the first one to spot the next Country Inn & Suites sign. Honestly I can hardly believe how many there are. So I know which hotel I’ll be choosing from now on.

Thank you Country Inn & Suites for making our stay in Madison, Wisconsin so special.
