Dave Ramsey Giveaway

I am always looking for a way to share anything from Dave Ramsey with my friends!  Today I have a Dave Ramsey freebie and giveaway for you!

First up, Dave Ramsey is offering a FREE Budgeting Guide for the new Year!

I love this freebie because let’s face it, most of us have no clue even how to budget successfully.  This guide give you practical directions on exactly how to budget, no more excuses to get started ;)

Several years ago I found out about Dave Ramsey online somewhere (I don’t exactly remember where I first stumbled upon his site). I ordered a couple of his books during a time when we were already changing the way we looked at money.  When they arrived we devoured them!

Since then I turn on his radio show whenever I can catch it for encouragement to keep moving forward.

I was recently sent the new and improved Financial Peace University 2012 to review and I was so thrilled for the chance to try the whole thing!

Through FPU, Dave Ramsey has helped more than 1.5 million families and individuals transform their financial lives through his easy to understand principles. Just recently Dave launched a new version of FPU. While the name and principles are the same, the experience is completely different. The lessons are more beneficial than ever, the class materials are easier to use and guest speakers are included to provide additional insight. We’ve also shortened the class from 13 weeks to 9 weeks.

It could not have come at a better time for us. After working so hard to get rid of debt, we moved onto our first big goal which was to move into a new house and neighborhood. Unfortunately it is impossible for us to sell our first home so we had to find a different way. Mortgage companies here in Michigan weren’t handing out loans, especially if you already have a home loan no matter how great your credit was.

We LOVE our old house, but it was time for a change.  So we scrimped and saved every spare penny until we had enough cash set aside that a mortgage company could not refuse us a new home.

Fast forward almost two years later.

We’ve used up our emergency fund and used credit to keep afloat while we paid for both homes.  Needless to say, we were in need of a jump start and Financial Peace University was just the thing to give us one!

We have only recently began and can already see a difference in our finances, but more importantly in our outlook.  We had gotten to a point where we were feeling so bogged down and guilty because we know better.  But I know now that the enemy wants nothing more than to keep us in a place where we feel hopeless and I refuse to make a home in that pit ever again!

I am SO thrilled to be able to give one of you a chance to win the brand new updated Financial Peace University!

This retails for $249.99 on Amazon!

  • Kit Includes Complete Course on DVD & CD
  • Dave Ramsey’s Complete Gude to Money Hardback Book
  • Financial Peace University Workbook & Much More!

It comes in a cute box with everything you need to become financially fit!  In a world where everything feels out of control, this will help by putting some thing back into place and under control. You can find a location near you that is offering the Financial Peace University Classes, I heard Dave say that the classes are very helpful and encouraging because you are able to talk with others who are traveling the same road you are and can relate to your struggles and celebrate your victories no matter how small.

  5. I need it because we have to much debt and no retirement! EEEK!

  6. 2013 is my year to achieve financial freedom!! I need any help I can get.

  7. Lauren Keith says:

I would love to have and use this. I need God’s help and Mr Ramsey’s to help my financial situation.

  8. I would love to win this because with one income we’d love to get our debt down, especially after having to buy a car recently!

  9. I feel that I could really benefit from this program. I would LOVE to see 0 on those credit card bills and have money left at the end of the month.

  10. I would like this because at just 27 and 25 years young, my husband and I filed for bankruptcy. We lost our home and car and moved back in with my mom. This would be a great tool to have so that we can start saving and doing things right for our new start.

  11. I would love this for a refresher for my husband and I. Also, to share it with my children as they get older so that they might make better financial choices and have a better start than we did.

  12. My best money saving tip is to follow Davey Ramseys advice! Seriously FPU and the debt snowball saved my sanity and got me and my hubby working together and we are now DEBT FREE!!! Now on to baby step 3!

  13. Would love to win because my hubby got a $20,000 paycut! We are trying very hard to adjust without giving up homeschooling and me going back to work! We could use some advice!

  14. Debbie Hill says:

I would love to win this so that my husband and I can learn how to budget so that we can pay our
bills AND save for tomorrow. Thanks!

  15. We are about to foreclose on our house and have a special needs kid and a typically developing one, and some debt we’d like to get out of. This would help us formulate a plan!!

  16. Jeanette P. says:

Here is my money saving tip: Go to consignmentmommies.com and find a consignment sale in your area. When your kids outgrown their clothing, gear, toys, etc. you can sell your gently used items at these sales events. Last year I made over $900 on stuff my kids outgrew! I used that money to buy “new” things. The things you find at sales is amazing! I donated $400 worth of brand new/unopened toys to charity and only paid $109 all due to shopping at these sales. Where I live we have Just Between Friends sales. Some consignors I know make $15-20K per year just consigning.

  17. My husband became unemployed right when we found out we were expecting baby #4…the only way we were able to stay afloat and remain in our home and maintain COBRA coverage was basically by draining our savings to supplement his unemployment compensation (and with him taking on any odd job he could find) and unfortunately turning to credit cards to supplement anything else. :( Hubby was unemployed for *16* months and while he has now regained employment, our credit card debt is still high, we’ve been unable to build back up our savings, and are basically feeling like we have lost control of our finances. :( Here we are in our 40′s and feeling like we have nothing to show for it. :(

I want my children to have a better financial future!

  18. Jessica Shuman says:

This would be great for my husband and myself. We have been trying to work our way out of our debts since we started dating. It seems for every 4 steps we take we get knocked back 2 or 3. So we are making progress but the light at the end of the tunnel is still a long ways off. And now we have a newborn – we would really love for her to grow up in a home with zero debt – something niether of us ever knew.

  19. Angela Hogan says:

I would like to win because our finances are a mess! I need help with where to start & how to stay on task. I am so overwhelmed!

  20. Erica Kimmel says:

After my husband lost his job, we lost our home and vehicles. We then went bankrupt to avoid judgments because our income took such a hit. I thought things would get better after that, but we still struggle with finances and juggling. After a while, it becomes exhausting. We want to find a better and more God honoring process to this financial confusion. I want to tithe regularly, open a savings account, etc but it feels like we are spinning our wheels. Winning this would mean a huge change in our lives.

  21. Jessica White says:

We have been working to get out of debt but we are still sitting on the edge of filing bankruptcy even after working with a non-profit credit counseling service. I really need a fresh perspective for getting out of debt with student loans starting repayment next year we just can’t be where we are now. We have zero credit cards, we work on a cash system but there has to be a better way to make more to pay off more. Maybe Dave Ramsey has a few hints.

  22. jen middlebrooks says:

My family really needs to get our finances under control being that we only have one income and a ton of medical debt!

  23. Holly Wiseman says:

We are a struggling family of 8 which include our 14mth twin grandsons. I just plain need help making ends meet!!

  24. Freda Wright says:

I would LOVE to win the Dave Ramsey package. What a great opportunity it would be for me to share it with my 21 year old daughter who graduates from college this year. She is moving to the south and will have a good job as a nurse. I’d love to share these next several months together, instilling in her the value of being wise with her money, and I know I will learn a lot too as my husband and I become empty nesters and enter a new phase of our lives. It will be something great for us (our little family) to do together before my daughter leaves home. I was SO excited to see that you were offering this package – what a blessing it would be for us.

  25. This would be a great way for us to accomplish our New Year’s resolution to be have more financial freedom!

  26. I would love to have this we desperately need to start using a budget, we are taking a 30% pay cut at my husbands job next month. We really need to start spending less and learn how to save money with 3 kids.

  27. After being hit hard with two years of unemployment out of the last four years my husband and I are in major debt. We need a plan, a way to get out of this mess we are in. The stress and pressure of all of this is taking a toll on my health and I would love to win this and see if it can help us get out of this situation.

  28. ugh.. one word -debt. We are a one income family and would love more freedom to do fun things away from the house with the kids once in a while!!!

  29. My husband and I enjoy listening to Dave’s podcasts in the evenings. Don’t spend what you don’t have! We were able to pay cash for an almost new (2010) Nissan Altima about a year and a half ago. Now we just need to get motivated to finish off my student loan. I’m sure Dave would have said to pay that off first anyways!

  30. cynthia heber says:

I don’t know how to budget. We are drowning in bills. Teach our family to get back on track. On how to manage our money better.

  31. we need this so bad because less than a year after bankruptcy, we’re back in debt

  32. Kimberly H says:

Debt! Also, we have another baby on the way, so it would be great to get a handle on our finances.

  33. monica p younes says:

I would love to have this since we just added a third member to our family and to get a better handle on our financial situation.

  34. Jen@Bigbinder says:

We saw Dave Ramsey speak a couple of years ago and I was all excited about FPU but I could never get my husband to go to the meetings/classes. I think he is afraid it is like a big group therapy and we have to share all of our private details. Having the materials at home would be wonderful!

  35. Ty Johnson says:

I want this because I am clawing my way to being debt-free and could you all the tips I can get.

  36. Funny, we too have 2 houses and while we are currently renting the other one–it hasn’t been an easy road to follow. I like that we would get to do this together and talk about next steps, together.

  37. Kristen Boucher says:

I would love this, because after going through FPU 2 1/2 times (we were unable to finish one time, because I was pregnant and put on bed rest), we finally have a hold on our finances. We are still on Baby Step #2, but we are paying things off with a vengence. We have been blessed over and over with odd jobs and extra income in order to help…so much that we have started to help friends and family by sharing Dave’s plan. We would like to make a difference in the lives of others, by having ‘the heart of a teacher’…

  38. I would love to be able to pay off our mortgage and put money into a retirement account. At the moment we have nothing saved for retirement.

  39. Angela Farley says:

I love Dave’s common sense approach. Would love to win this!

  40. Rebecca Zepp says:

Out family would love to win so we can feel this weight lifted off of our shoulders. Debt is no fun for anyone.

  41. I would love to win this. I would love to be able to use it and then pass it along to others in our church. Or better yet, do a class together. Thanks for the opportunity to win this awesome prize.

  42. Kymberlee Zimmer says:

I would love to start out the new year with a financial plan in place!

  43. Christel Fifer says:

Would love to have the whole set and go through together with my husband at our pace. Needing some extra kick in the but financially.

  44. Kacey Baxter says:

I would LOVE to win this!! My husband just graduated from Law school and the student loans are kicking in!!! I have been researching this program on the internet for a few days now and just found this give away!! I want to learn how to best utilize his tools to be able to pay off our students loans quickly and efficinetly! Especially with 2 small kids and hopefully more someday, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be financially secure at a pretty young age!!! I did the envelope system my in-laws told us about during law school and it seriously helped save our meager student loan budget!! I want to know it all now!!

  45. Jennifer Wiggins says:

My husband and I started our total money makeover in October of last year. We have a one year old and we want to drop our debt while she’s young. We haven’t done the class so we would loove to win this!

  46. I’d like to win because I’ve never done the Dave Ramsey FPU, but have heard wonderful things about it.

  47. Would love this because we are trying (insuccessfully) to be debt free. I was DESPARATELY to send our girls to a catholic grade school. That’s right around the corner. We need to step it up ASAP!

    • Wow….what typos…..
I would love this because we are trying (Unsuccessfully) to be debt free. I want desparately to send our girls to catholic grade school. That’s right around the corner! We need to step it up ASAP!!

  48. I have never made a budget in my life—always live paycheck to paycheck—I need STRUCTURE and I need it soon!

  49. Christie C. says:

I would love to win this! My husband listens to Dave alot on the radio and has learned so much from him and shared this with me. We are trying our hardest to follow his advice and we are on the right track. My biggest money saving tip is not purchasing items you really do not need…..think about purchases before you committ to buying

  50. Although I’m so proud of my two growing sons, they’re costing a TON of $$$$ ! They’re eating machines!!!! They’re about to both take training in driver’s ed (cars etc) and then off to school, ih ope for them both! Needless to say, We need financila HELP! Thanks for your help and hopeful to win this one!

  51. Laurie Blackshear says:

In March, I will turn 54 and start my fourth year as a widow. I have done okay to this point but will soon have two children in college. I know that this program would help me to revamp my finances to better handle this new financial burden.

  52. I would like to win so that I can have a better understanding of finances. And so I can teach my children how to avoid the financial mistakes I made.

  53. This kit would be a lifestyle changer for us. We’re a one income family with 3 little ones, 2 car notes and a few credit cards. My husband very much wants to own our own home but I just don’t know how to get us there…. Am I the only one who grew up in a house who’s parents never discussed money? Once I can get a handle on my own finances I can’t wait to teach my children how to be financially responsible!

  54. Lisa Childers says:

I would love to win this. My husband AND my oldest child are starting college this year.
We need all the money help that we can get. =)

  55. My husband and I have been living off one income for the past four years while I stay home with our two kids. Quitting my full time job has meant sacrificing and doing without a lot of things. I have become very frugal and that’s how I found your site. I am currently attending school part time now and looking forward to the day I have a degree and a second income. In the mean time I would love to learn how to have “financial peace” and be a good steward of our money. Thank you!

  56. Michele Graham says:

I would love to win this. Since becoming unemployed in 2009, we have become a family living on one small income. We need to learn how to budget better and set a better example for our two children.

  57. Tamika Garrett says:

I would love to win this to make smarter money choices for my family. We are entering a new chapter of our lives and want to do things right with our money. To build a better life moneywise for us and to teach our children the right way when it comes to money.

  58. My word for the New Year is Budget :) this would help it come true!

  59. The economy really rocked our world over the past few years. My husband lost his job, and then we lost our home and vehicles. We ended up in bankruptcy to avoid any more judgements against us. It was painful and embarrassing. I thought that it would be a fresh start, but we still live paycheck to paychack and can’t keep our heads above water. Juggling bills is exhausting and I need a new and God centered approach to help us recognize our faults and fix them. We want to tithe and save, but we can’t seem to figure out how to do it. This would be life changing, I am certain!

  60. Amber Winkis says:

I am in the midst of a divorce and have 2 small children. I really do not want to go any further in debt. I’m trying to pay off a vehicle , make a mortgage payment, pay daycare and all bills completely on my own. I have $30,000 in students loans that I also have to tackle. I feel that this program could really help me start this year out right.

  61. I would love to win this because my husband and I need to get a good budget in order and have been meaning to buy his book for a while now.

  62. Isabel Acosta says:

I would love to win this so that my husband and I can both learn ways to budget and pay off debt.

  63. i would use this to help teach my children to be responsible with $. We are doing good with our finances but I am sure we can learn more! I homeschool 5 kids so it would get used up.

  64. I would love to win this to gain financial freedom and also to share the information with my sister. She wants to gain financial freedom as well. My best money saving tip is to check your blog for store match ups. By using coupons with the match ups I have saved a lot of money. Thanks!

  65. We really need this! I have heard so many great things about this program! We need to figure out how to put money aside for savings!

  66. I would enjoy learning how to get out of debt and stay out of debt as a single parent.

  67. April Keener says:

I love Dave Ramsey &would love this. My hubby & I started following Dave’s teachings and paid off a lot of debt. Now our only debt is our house and I am able to stay home with our kids. We never actually went thru FPU, just read some of his books and listened to his radio show so this would help fine tune our spending so now we can really concentrate on our saving. My best advice is don’t give up. It’s miserable going thru the debt snowball but so worth it when u come out the other side!

  68. Kathy Auten says:

I would love to win this. My husband is recently disabled and I am working again. We have debt that is SLOWLY decreasing but with a kid in college it is not that easy. ANY help would be great!

  69. Would love to win this. Guidance in this area would be so helpful!

  70. Jamie LeGrand says:

Dave Ramsey’s tools have helped my family find financial freedom. I would love to continue on this journey, especially as my church begins Dave’s newest program Momentum in the next few weeks. The kit would be invaluable to us.
Thank you for considering us : )

  71. We have a “sort of” budget. Would like some guidance. Thanks

  72. I’ve heard good things about Dave Ramsey and it would be nice to have a plan for my husband and I to use to get our finances in order. Thank you for the chance!

  73. I have wanted to see the new improved FPU kit, especially with all the new changes in the financial world. I have Dave’s voice in the back of my head constantly telling me that we don’t need “stuff” and “sell everything until the kids think you’ll sell them too.” Love Dave’s advice and his devotion to The Lord!

  74. We haven’t been able to attend Dave’s teachings and this would definitely help getting us on the right path, plus after were done with it we can share it with the next person who wants to live free.

My best advise is to not spend what you don’t have, if you can’t cover the payment at the end of the month then you don’t ‘need’ to have said item(s).

Live within your means, don’t live(or pretend to) within other people means

Don’t depend on the Government to bail you out, be responsible for your own well being.

Working at McDonalds for minimum wage is a honest living, don’t ever feel like it’s below you. You are responsible for you and your family.

  75. I would like to win because I am finally debt free (execpt for house) and have no idea what to do next…

  76. Cassandra b says:

I would love to check out this kit because I feel that we do well for a while and then our wants start to take over and we end up spending too much. Finding contentment coupled with learning new financial tools may be just what we need;)

  77. Mandie McCarty says:

Oh boy do I ever need to win this! I have wanted to get his Financial Peace for quite sometime. Let’s just say I have medical bills, etc hanging over my head…and I just need to get out from under the stress from finances.

  78. We are Financial Peace University grads and like yourself, have fallen off the bandwagon and feel guilty. I would love to check out the new material and get inspired again!

  79. Manette Gutterman says:

This could really get my husband on board with me to be debt free. We’re very frugal but I want to set better goals for our future.

  80. I would love to share this information with my family, so that we can all grow together as we learn to walk in more of God’s best! Thank you for the opportunity to enter!

  81. My husband and I are really wanting to work on our finances over the coming year, and especially trying to pay down our mortgage more quickly. Would love a program like this to help us out!

  82. I would love to win this because my family is in desperate need of a change. We have been trying to make changes but we’ve suffered several setbacks. I would love some help so that I am not a constant pit of worry.

  83. Liz Nelson says:

I would love to win this!!! Darrel and I have wanted to take the class at various churches over the last few years but the cost has always been too great. We desperately want to learn how to control our finances so that our bills and debt don’t control us! We dream of being able to save money for our girls’ weddings and college, but we need to breathe new life into our finances and budget. We don’t want our girls to fall into the same debt trap that we did. Please help us learn how to rethink money so that we can teach our children the RIGHT way to budget and save the first time!

  84. Brandie Povlock says:

After my husband being transferred to Michigan for his job , me just graduating from college after being out of school for twenty years and our eldest son being recently diagnosed a type 1 diabetic. I need to get a handle on our finances so I can look for a different job instead of driving almost three hours a day to work. I need to be closer to home. For my family.

  85. I am on a very tight budget and I need to do better, so anything to help that is real, like this is.

  86. I would like to win this b/c I am very poor and this could be very useful. Thank you.

  87. Lisa Sutton says:

This past year I have become functionally blind. Paying for driver’s to take me and our two special needs homeschooled children to our numerous doctor’s appointments has really derailed our budget. We could use Dave Ramsey to help us get back on track. Winning the FPU wold be such a blessing to us.

  88. We just filed for bankrupcy. My husband was layed off, we had our own business for a while and now he has a regular full time job. We need need direction.

    • We also have 2 girls, 8 and 13. I would like to pass along good habits to them. I work part time and home school one daughter.

  89. Would love to win this. We listened to Dave and started some plans, then my husband lost his job and then a few months later was diagnosed with cancer. He is Ok, and back to work (2 jobs) to support family (God has always provided) while I homeschool our daughter. I am sure we can learn tons from this! What a blessing it would be.

  90. Mona Bocchino says:

Would love to win it and share it with my daughter as she makes good money but is always broke and in debt.

  91. suzan anderson says:

need to learn how to stick to our guns about financial planning, learn new tips and tricks and not just talk about it!! so need to win this to get going….

  92. Shelly Baker says:

I have an older book by Dave Ramsey and a couple cd’s. We live in a rural beach town and cannot find a class near by. I would love to have this on DVD to help us get our finances in order. We are in our 50′s and are raising our miracle grandson who was a 23 week baby and weighed only 1 lb 9 ozs. We can really use the help to figure out how to make it financially on our income raising a baby.

  93. Kristin Dan says:

Feeling very over whelmed with the amount of debt my husband and I have incurred due to medical bills. They are now n the form if credit card bills. We always pay our bills on time and try to pay a little more than the minimum. We’re still spinning our wheels. No one will help you unless you default on your payments. Doing so is NOT an option for us. We really know there’s a way out but we just don’t what to do. This would help us find a way to work our way out of our situation. Thanks.

  94. TANYA MONEY says:

Read his book a few years back by myself. Would really like to do the program together with my husband as we are really struggling to pay our bills each month. I’m tired of being stressed over money all the time. Help!

  95. I am a stay-home, homeschooling mom of 2 and would love to be able to utilize Dave Ramsey’s financial planning to help our family achieve financial peace. We have listened to Dave Ramsey and have read and printed off information from his site in the last couple of years…for Christmas 2 years ago, we purchased his children’s program and loved it! This would be a blessing! We would also share this with family and friends. Thanks so much for doing this!

  96. I would love to win this to help my family of 6 save more money. To save money, I make sure I unplug everything at our house that is not being used and this really makes a difference on our electric bill!!!

  97. Marissa S. says:

This is something my family could really put to use. I’ve been finishing my master’s degree, and to do so I’ve had to take a big pay cut (down to minimum wage). When I finish in a few months, we will need to start repaying my loans, in addition to attempting to rebuild all we have used up and sacrificed over the past few years of me being in school. This is so important for my family and my children’s future.

  98. I have been trying to get our finances into order for the last year. My husband’s job went from OK to bad almost over night and there were weeks he worked only two days. Money was a major life stress for me. At the end of the summer though he got a good full time job (happy dance), but now we’re trying to play catch-up with our finances after having so little come in for so long. Now I want to get things on a path that will get us to financial freedom!

  99. I would love to win this! We are in the process of adopting and this would help us tremendously. To save money, I use coupons, cut cable and extras.

  100. I would like to win because we want to gt as far out of debt as possible this year!

  101. We need this! We had a good momentum going and then we’ve fell off the wagon. Climbing out of debt is so hard. To save money, we cut out cable, sold things, and menu plan diligently.

  102. Carmen Tydings says:

I’ve been looking at this for a long time. We are in debt & need to get out & start saving for our boys.

  103. I have been out of work and looking into going back to school . The thought of stepping into a classroom after 30 years is scary. I would like to win this so this time around I will be better at budgeting my finances. After loosing my job of 8 years, caused me to loose my house. By winning, going back to school getting a degree and being better equipped on budgeting will make this life changing transition seem like “EASY MONEY”. Thank you!!

  104. I had read about Dave’s program somewhere along the way and had really wanted to try it. We are in the same sinking ship a lot of people are in but haven’t been able to enroll because I just can’t afford to. I’m tired of being in the hole and getting creative each month with our bills.

  105. I would love to win this because I’ve made being debt free a goal for this year. I’ve started aligning the debts but I really need help on where to start, this would definitely be a blessing!

  106. We r in debt and keep falling behind. I think it would help us learn how to manage God’s money better.

  107. Bethany S. says:

I’ve heard great things about Dave Ramsey helping people get out of debt. And I think my family could really benefit from his program right now. Credit cards have really hurt us, so we’re trying to get them paid off, but it seems impossible. We’ve worked at cutting un-nessesary costs, but need help at getting rid of the debt we’ve already built up.

  108. My husband and I are celebrating our ten year marriage this March and we have been in and out of ideas on finance . We were treated to a seminar by Dave about six years ago , and to hear these couples get up and shout out that they are debt free was extremely exciting . We have always wanted to not only do that but be the role for others and our children .

  109. I would love to win so I can prove to my husband how committed I am to get our finances in order! ;)

  110. Like everyone else, we need this! We just had serious changes in our finances (for the positive) and would love to “do it right” this time. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  111. would love this right now. We have two young boys, work full time and need to get saving for an emergency!!!

  112. I would love to have this for myself and my husband, to fix the damage that has already been done. But even more importantly I would like to share it with my 19 year old and 22 year old sons. They are just beginning the journey out on their own and it would be so wonderful if their lives could be lived financially is such a responsible way Their future and the future of their families would be so much brighter!

  113. We did this a few years ago. It worked great at first but we fell off the wagon before the year was done. We need a good recharge. We have started looking at our future and what we want…..it doesn’t look good right now. This would help us a lot! We want to move but can’t. We need to save for college for our(right now) two boys. This would help both me and my husband to re-jump start our saving and spending.

  114. Emma Benefiel says:

This is the year I have told myself that i have to get responsible in our finances, I was just reading about Dave in a magazine last night. I would love to win this would help us so much

  115. My husband just got laid off and we refuse to go into to debt. We need a some guidance to keep our financial house in order during this difficult time.

  116. We were doing well for awhile, and then slowly the credit card debt crept back in, so now we have about $3500 in debt again, plus student loans. We need a kick in the pants!

  117. rachel derosa says:

I went through a divorce this year and really am trying to rebuild my life including finances

  118. My best money saving tip:

We are a budgeted family, so we carefully track all of our expendatures! Here’s a gift my husband gives me every month. It is an incredible help to our marriage. I no longer have to answer “Why did you spend $10 at McDonnald’s?” question. Here’s why…

I’m on an allowance! I receive a set amount of money each month for outings with the kids, my necessities (e.g. makeup, etc.), lunches out with the boys, etc. The allowance is not large, but it comes with no questions from my husband. This way, I don’t over-spend and I also retain some autonomy in how I spend a portion of our money.

I would LOVE to share Financial Peace University with other couple who struggle with “money fights.” That used to be us…not anymore!

  119. I’d love to win this so my husband and I can get our finances in order and improve our marriage…this may be the only thing we disagree about-how we manage our $!

  120. I have been dying to try this course!! With one income we cant afford to even pay the small fee for it. We would like to buy a house in the next few years and improve our credit. I know Dave Ramsey’s system can helps us!

  121. This is something I would love to start this year. I have heard so many good things about this method and could use some help in this area. It is hard for my husband and I to stay consistent.

  122. This would be the perfect way to kick-start saving for the new year. We really need to change spending and find better ways to save.

  123. The timing couldn’t be anymore perfect. We’re in a “hot mess” with our finances and are looking for a way to get out:)

  124. My hubby and I have a house we need to sale – building a house and renting a house all while trying to start farming! It is very stressful to have so much on our plate plus raising 4 children! I try to be very frugal by raising chickens for eggs and canning what we have in our garden….but, it doesn’t seem like enough. WHERE ELSE CAN I SAVE?! How can we balance everything??
    Thank you for the opportunity!

  125. Would love a chance! My husband and I can definitely use some guidance in this area.

  126. Would love to have the whole set. I’ve been trying to work the steps based on his website and radio show. This would be a real advantage. thanks!

  127. would love to win this, have wanted to do this forever and just never had the money.
like everyone could really us e the financial guidance in this course. Thank you for offering
    this opportunity to everyone.

  128. I need this! I am self employed and know I need to plan for the future. I have to save for my retirement because I won’t have any other source. Need to get our finances in order for our child.

  129. My husband and I have taken this class in the past but at that point we were only able to use it to get out from being far behind on many payments, including our home. Now we are ready to start putting money away and start snowballing our debts! This would be amazing to win and we would teach it as a class to all in our area that would like to learn from Dave Ramsey’s FPU

  130. I am paying for things with cash and that way I don’t get into debt! When the cash is gone, you don’t have anything to spend and so you don’t! I am trying to get my brother to understand you have to be good stewards of your money! I wish I could help him!

  131. 2012 was tough for us, but we were afloat until September. The bottom fell out. We can’t climb out of this hole. We’re working – and can’t make it paycheck to paycheck. We’re afraid. We need help. I’ve been following your story and am… Jealous. I’d love peace. Can’t wait to see who wins – there are so many that need help. It’s awesome that you’re able to offer this giveaway.

  132. We did FPU several years ago, and did great. Fast forward 8-9 years, we have 4 kids, car payments, credit cards, and we are struggling to stay afloat. Not to mention our “starter-home” is getting much too small for us. We need a jump start.

  133. Drowning in debt…need help

  134. Gail Dudlicek says:

My husband and I have had several rough years with both of us losing our jobs at the same time, blowing through our savings and racking up medical bills. We need help to get on track.

  135. We are in money crisis mode and need help getting out of debt.

  136. Peggy Jackson says:

Finances is one thing that my husband and I have been weak in since the very beginning of our marriage. Though we are better than we used to be there is still lots of room for improvement. We both admire Dave Ramsey and would love to go through his program.

  137. Would love to learn how to break old habits and begin new healthy habits!!

  138. I would like to win this for the simple reason that I could use something like this but it’s too much $ to purchase right now.

  139. I could really use this as I was forced out of my steady employment at our local hospital. Now that we are on one salary plus whatever computer work I can scrape up, we could really use Dave Ramsey’s advice! Thanks for the chance!

  140. Stephanie Kelsch says:

I would love to win this! My husband and I have not been the smartest with our finances, and could really use the help to start planning and saving for our future, and the future of our children.

  141. I have committed to getting us to a better place this year. This life as a Solo parent to an Autistic Superkid is tough but I believe Dave Ramsey can guide me to things I think are out of reach at this point.

  142. We have spent two years working out getting out of debt. It has not been so easy after a medical emergency, unemployment, paying for college tuition for our son, and a high medical deductible we never reach. We really want to get back on track. We want to honor God with our finances and make the best choices. I subscribe to Dave Ramsey’s emails so that I can learn how we can do better. I would love to take it further by having the Financial Peace University Program. It would be such a blessing for me and my family.

  143. Our finances are going down the tube because I have had my work hours cut by 50% due to cutbacks and loss of revenue at the company where I work.

  144. Cyndi Hancsak says:

We are newlyweds (married just 6 months) and in our 50s. We both have had financial issues all our lives & would love to have the opportunity to enter our “golden years” with the knowledge we need to finally get it right!

  145. Tiffany Patrick says:

I could really use this. I have friends who use Dave’s advice and they really love it. I’m a 25 year old single mother of a 6 year old and with one income the bills pile high and I find myself struggling at the end of each month as I’m only paid monthly. This would be a huge help in helping me build my pocketbook or a savings account. Thanks!

  146. We need this! My husband has been in school forever and now that he will have a full-time job next year and we have big decisions ahead, we need to know how to best use our money.

  147. My family really needs this, and I would love to win this kit! We recently lost most of our business, and cash flow is slow to non-existant. I read and heard a lot of great things about this program. This is a new year, ad we want to start out right, and get some help to start improving our lives once and for all.

  148. After receiving a college degree you believe oh I will get a teaching job using my degree and becoming financially stable. Well this isn’t how it happened but I have been working for years on my college debts which I also added more debts too. This program would help me become the financially stable young adult I want to be.

  149. I’d love to win this, I’ve heard great things about it but can’t afford it. We’d like to learn to budget better and we really need to begin to save for our kids’ futures.

  150. My husband and I love Dave! Every time we talk about finances: buying a car, going on vacation, looking for a car, job change, ect… we always say, “What would Dave do?”

  151. I just bought a house and NEED to figure out a new budget system. This would help me SO much!

  152. If I had the money to buy this I would I have heard so many great things about his program and im dying to learn more! We have a small family of 4 now! We rent and live off of one income so that I can be a stay at home mom. My hubby is also going to school. We are making it but with a very tight budget and we dont always make that budget. We are having a hard time getting our school loans paid off with two littles and a car that need things. Thanks for this Opportunity to get the RAmsey program for free!
