Thanks to all of you who nominated projects from the DonorsChoose.org site.
It has been very difficult for me to only choose 3 projects to vote on because I believe that all of the projects that were nominated are really great projects. I was happy to see a couple of the projects have already received their complete funding, and like to think that the generosity of the Saving Dollars and Sense community here may have had a little something to do with it!
Again, if you want to give on your own you can use the code SAVINGS and DonorsChoose.org is going to match your donation dollar for dollar up to $100, meaning if you donate $10 then it automatically doubles to $20.
I wish I was able to help every one of these projects reach their goals!
Because I am unable to only choose 3, I will list all of the projects below that are still in need of funding. These teachers are asking for ordinary school tools like dictionaries, books, & art supplies.
On Monday I will donate $75 to one of the projects below that you choose!
Requesting a Classroom Set of The American Heritage College Dictionary for her students
Requesting LeapFrog Tag Reading System to aid in their reading progress
Requesting 4 internet tablets to help incorporate technology into our classroom
Requesting 2 pads of tracing paper and 55 stretched canvas for painting
Please take a moment and help decide who should get our $75 donation. Please keep it to only one vote per person to keep this fair for everyone.
The voting is closed.
As you can see these are some VERY worthy projects. I hope that some of us here in the SD&S community might consider donating a little to them since it is clear that this $75 donation will not be able to help all of the need that is there.
Remember every little bit helps, and EVERY SINGLE DONATION GETS DOUBLED through February 24th when you use the code SAVINGS up to $100!

Just wanted you to know that I’ve never visited DonorsChoose.org before, but checked out your nominees, placed my vote, then went back and donated to a request from our local school district. Thanks!
This makes my heart smile and exactly why I shared this, hoping others would catch the vision and join me!! THANK you!!!
I vote for 6 help yourself boxes and chapter books to promote reading!
I am a teacher and this is a project that would help kids improve their reading skills.
