Frugal Burnout

So after about a month of not really CVSing or planning my grocery trips the way I should. I have come to the conclusion that I have been suffering from frugal burnout! Either that ot I am just plain old being rebellious. But I like the idea of being burnt out so much better than the idea of being rebellious. Although I am pretty sure that there is a little of both going on.

This is unfortunately my MO. I get really excited about some new thing and I run with it. In fact I run it straight into the ground. It was just everything. All the planning each and every week. Cutting out all of those stinking coupons after I have gone to the store to get the papers. Then going through and filing all of them.

Eventually I just stopped doing it altogether. And lately I find myself looking through the fridge and cupboards thinking we need groceries. So I try to put together a plan in 10 minutes before I am running out the door. I have overspent on things that I wouldn’t have if I had just stuck with the system that was working so well. I also find myself buying lots of extras because I have no idea what I have at home.

So I am getting back on the bandwagon. I spent a considerable amount of time cutting out coupons yesterday. Today I will clean out my neglected coupon box since there are bound to be quite a lot of expired coupons. As for CVS, I am off to put together my shopping plan right now.
