I have an amazing Great Wolf Lodge Deal to share with you today, but first let me tell you a little bout why I love this place so much.

It started several years ago when we were looking for a fun and out of the ordinary vacation idea for our family.

Great Wolf Lodge seemed like a natural fit for our outdoor, nature loving family.  We went the first year with no idea what to expect and LOVED every minute of our time there.  It was Labor Day weekend and they held a special Luau party that included lots of crafts, food, games, and contests.

Including a pie eating contest which my husband was first in line for!

It was perfect for him and he won and the prize was another FREE nights stay to use anytime in the next year. So we made it an annual trip for the next several years when he continued to win the contest each year.

There is an awesome deal running on Groupon for Great Wolf Lodge today that you’ll really want to check out if you are interested in taking your family.

If you are new to Groupon, sign up through this link first.

Thanks to My Litter for the heads up on this HOT deal from one of my families favorite vacation destination!

DETAILS:

High above Fort Mackenzie—a four-story waterlogged treehouse that feels like it could be a part of The Swiss Family Robinson or Pirates of the Caribbean—a 1,000-gallon bucket slowly fills with water. Suddenly, the big bucket topples, drenching those gathered below in a torrent of water. Heated to a balmy 84 degrees, Great Wolf Lodge Traverse City’s indoor water park and its more than10 splash-filled attractions draw visitors looking for an aquatic getaway no matter the season. In addition to braving Fort Mackenzie, you can careen down the four-story Alberta Falls tube slide and unwind on a raft in the Crooked Creek lazy river.

The 39,000-square-foot water park is merely one of the many activities at the hotel’s multi-entertainment campus. At the MagiQuest live-action adventure, kids wield magic wands and journey through a kingdom to meet mythical creatures, including a pixie and a dragon. More than 100 games such as skee-ball and virtual pinochle attract gamers to the Northern Lights Arcade, with prizes and games geared toward all ages. Scooops Kid Spa gives manicures and pedicures to pintsize patrons sitting atop ice-cream-cone stools and banana-split thrones—free ice cream happily completes each visit. Up to six kids and adults can comfortably sleep in the family suite, where they can plan daily itineraries in the semiprivate living area. Each suite includes a private balcony or a patio, to be determined upon check-in.

I’m sure this deal will sell out so make sure you grab yours while you still can!

  1. I’ve always been wondering about this place. My son will be turning three soon. Do you think this is a good place for a newly-three-year-old (thinking a March trip) or should we wait?

    • Kristie Sawicki says:

Absolutely! They have special pool areas just for little ones!

      • I have to thank you for your recommendation on this. We went this week and had A BLAST!! My three-year-old went on every slide he could and popped out at the bottom with a huge smile every time! The resort was relaxing, and you didn’t have to go anywhere outside of it if you didn’t want to. I’m looking to plan another trip now!! We went to the one in Sandusky, OH (we live in PA). SO FUN!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  2. When I follow the link it looks like this deal is only for the MI Lodge. Are the other lodges on sale, too?

  3. GREAT! Thanks!

  4. Thank you again for posting this and your advice on my three year old going. We got the groupon and we’re going!! My son is going with one of his friends (also 3). We’re all so excited!!!

  5. Is this place just for families/ kids, or are there adult areas (& a bar lol) there also? I don’t have kids, so if we went it would just be with 2 or 3 couples.
