Look at what I found waiting for me on my front porch the other day!

It’s the Hoover Platinum Collection Linx Cordless Stick Vacuum.

To be perfectly honest with you, when I first opened it I was a bit skeptical. I took one look at it and thought this is just a toy. It is so light weight and small that I just didn’t think it could possibly work as well as a “real” vacuum. I am so used to a vacuum being heavy and bulky.

So once I charged up the battery for a few hours I was ready to take it for a spin. The vacuum has two settings. One is suction only, and the other is suction with a rolling brush. The suction only setting is perfect for my hardwood and tile floors while the other setting works great on the one room in my house that has carpet.

After trying out this vacuum for about two weeks now I can honestly say that you can judge a vacuum by its size. I totally underestimated this little vacuum. First of all is certainly is a “real” vacuum. The suction power is just as strong as a large full size vacuum, and I love how easily it goes from wood to tile to carpet.

Another thing I really like about this vacuum is the fact that I can just keep going from room to room without worrying about it being plugged in. This is a big deal to me since I usually lose my motivation when I come to the end of the cord. Since I can just keep going, I find that I’ve done the whole house in no time flat.

Hoover Platinum Collection Linx Cordless Stick Vacuum

Details:

  • Cordless and bagless stick vacuum cleaner with WindTunnel technology
  • Interchangeable 18-volt Lithium Ion battery for fade-free power; auto height adjustment
  • Motorized power brush turns off with a flip of a switch for bare-floor cleaning; 11-inch-wide nozzle
  • Edge-cleaning bristles; low-profile base; battery-fuel gauge; Energy Star battery charger included
  • Measures approximately 11 by 8 by 42 inches; 6-year limited vacuum warranty; 2-year limited battery/charger warranty

This really is a top notch vacuum in my opinion, however it is not the only vacuum you will need. It does have some limitations including the fact that it does not have any attachments. I am so used to using a hose to clean in the corners, vacuum the couches, and getting cobwebs out of the corners. I’ll still need t pull out my full size vacuum once in a while for those tasks.

One side effect of this lightweight vacuum is that my kids were fighting to use it over the last couple weeks. So be prepared to share!

Okay now for the best part of all. I am giving away one Hoover Platinum Collection Linx Cordless Stick Vacuum to one of my lucky readers!
