This is the time of year that I look forward to trying out new recipes for the holidays.  However I have to admit that I am not all that creative on my own when it come to food.

Thankfully, Hellmann’s knows that there are many woman in the very same situation as me.  So they are now offering some much needed and timely help for all of us theis year who are looking for yummy low cost meal and appetizer ideas.

Hellmann’s Real Holiday Helpings is full of useful information to help you throughout this holiday season.

Breakfast and lunch is pretty much the same around my house which is why that part of the menu never changes.

Breakfasts - consists of oatmeal, cold cereal, fruit smoothies, toast & poached eggs.

Lunches - consists of soups, peanut butter sandwiches, or dinner leftovers.

Dinners - I will try to include lots of veggies this week.

I don’t plan a Sunday meal. Usually we have a very late lunch and just find something small for dinner. Either way I don’t plan because I like to be flexible for anything that pops up.

I learned you could make chocolate cake and carrot cake with Hellmann's. I never heard of doing that but it sounds interesting enough I may have to give it a try.

I learned that the Oven Roasted Apple-Cranberry Crisp with Creamy Spiced Chantilly recipe calls for 1/2 cup of Hellman's or Best Foods Real Mayonaise.

I learned that adding Hellmann's to a cake mix can make a very moist cake.

I liked looking at all the recipe suggestions for leftovers. I can never think of original things. I like the turkey Waldorf salad idea for leftover turkey. Thanks so much! pamelashockley(AT)netscape(DOT)net
