Due to the fact that we are going to heading down to Florida for the Disney Moms Social Media Event on Tuesday morning, I have decided that it will be pretty much impossible to do a menu plan this week.

Instead I thought I would share some of the foods we are taking with us to try and cut our food costs down a bit.

I am bringing bagels, cream cheese, fruit, cheese, cereal, milk, orange juice, yogurt, and frozen strawberries and bananas for breakfast.  Because I was able to review a neat little blender recently I will take that along with us so we can have smoothies for breakfast.

My hope is that by bringing my own breakfast foods we will be able to save between $40 and $75 a day just on breakfast.

I am being provided with breakfast and lunch as part of the conference, but my family will still need to eat lunch in the park.  There  are a lot of reasonably prices places to eat at lunch time in the park, still we are budgeting $100 a day for food.

Thankfully Disney is providing my entire family with dinner every night that we are there free of charge!  This will do a lot to keep our food budget low.

I am also going to pack sandwiches and snack foods for the ride down.

We save by taking our own breakfast foods on vacation, too! Cold cereal and peanut butter (with crackers or bread) are the easiest shelf-stable foods for us; I haven't tried taking perishables. Have a great time!
