I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas time with your families!
After spending the last several years visiting family on Christmas day, we chose to keep things nice and quiet and stay home. We didn’t do anything all that special. We just spent time together.
It really was a nice and refreshing day. We needed some time together to just be a family and that’s exactly what we did. Of course there was lots of Christmas movies and food involved. We snuggled and laughed a lot!
In the words of my son, “I think this was the best Christmas ever mom!”
My Christmas isn’t “officially” over until after the New Year because we celebrate Christmas with my side of the family on New Years Day. So we are on an extended break until the second week of January when my mom and stepdad will be gone and everything will return to normal.
So the tree is still standing today after falling over yesterday and I hope that it will stay standing until after the New Year. That’s right, my tree fell over yesterday!
I woke up and said to my husband, “I think the tree is tilting, does it look like it’s tilting to you?”
His reply was “No, it was crooked on the first day, but I didn’t want to say anything”
Yep, and then about an hour later it completely fell over!
I felt like we were the Griswold’s from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.

We stayed home this year and it was nice. We didn't even get out of jammies! Gotta love that! We also still have to celebrate with my dh's mom one day and dad another. Atleast it's not all in one day!
Glad you had nice day at home with your family!
