Although we are homeschoolers and therefore do not attend the local public school, I have always continued to support it in any way I can.

One of the simplest ways to help out your local schools without a whole lot of effort is by collecting the Box Tops that you can already find on many of the food products you already buy. Did you know that those silly pieces of cardboard are worth cold hard cash to a school?

I have saved my Box Tops from the food I’ve bought and also from the register coupon machines. Sometimes when you buy certain products a special coupon will print out with a small fortune in Box Tops. Don’t throw these away even if your child won’t directly benefit.

You don’t even need to go to the school, you can get the address and mail them in. In fact I would suggest choosing a school in a district that can use all the financial help they can get.
