I was thinking back over the different things that have happened this past winter for us.

It was a crazy winter as far as the snow goes. Usually we have to go up to my moms house to get a really good taste of snow. They average 300 inches of snow a year where she lives. Kalene, Richie, and my nephews really love the fact that they can play in the snow.

They have built forts and had snowball fights. They have sled down an old closed down ski hill. But this year they tried their hand at snowboarding for the first time. I have to say I was pretty impressed. They just seemed to all get the hang of it so easily and quickly.

I was hoping to get my son his own board, since he was using his cousins whle we were up north. So he will certainly need his own if it is something he continues to like. And I am sure he will. After all, I have seen that look he had in his eyes before. It’s the same as when they go hunting or fishing.

I was reading that the Burton snowboards are really good boards. I want to get him one that is more than a toy and will last a long while. So maybe some of you know more about these than I do. If you do, I would love your input. Thanks!
