    I am especially appreciative this year for my family, the closeness I have with my mother, and the fact my husband is home after his deployment of working for FEMA after hurricane sandy. My two youngest, 4 and 2, are going to start understanding the meaning of Christmas and family this year which makes me smile. Although we are on a strict budget every year, my mother helps make Christmas extra special for all 3 of my kids. So family always tops my list of appreciation. :)

  42. My son. He is 9 y/o and autistic. I was told since I was 13 I could never have children, so SURPRISE – at 30, I was pregnant. Doctors are still trying to figure out how and why. So now every Christmas is a TRUE miracle because of him!

    I am most thankful for the time that I will be spending with my children this year. It will be our “last” year of them being home for Christmas as kids. My son leaves for Coast Guard training camp in June. My daughter will be graduating high school in June, so this Christmas will be our last with “my babies” at home.

    I will also appreciate all of the Christmas food and treats this year. I have just been diagnosed with Celiac Disease, so all of the food this season will mean so much more since I need to go Gluten Free now.
