It has been my family’s desire to take a trip to New York for several years now.

Unfortunately we have not had the opportunity to take our trip just yet, but we do still intend to visit The Big Apple one of these days.  Hopefully soon while my children are still young enough to take advantage of all that is available for children in New York.

If you are planning a trip to New York any time soon, you must check out this site for its great listing of kid friendly hotels.  Most review sites only offer you the good.  But here you’ll find the good, bad, and ugly.  The truth, complete with undoctored photography, which is exactly what I want to see.

More than once we have chosen our hotels based on the hotel website photos, only to find that the pictures we had seen didn’t exactly depict the rooms we ended up with.

When I choose a hotel, I do hope that it is a place that I’ll feel comfortable taking my kids.  This is why I love the fact that Oyster Hotel Reviews has a section completely dedicated to kid friendly places to stay in New York.  This take the guesswork out of it and makes the decision of where to stay so much easier.

Once you have chosen a hotel like Hotel Beacon, you are able to spend more energy planning how you will spend your time while you are in New York.

Thankfully, New York is not the only place that has kid friendly hotels.  This is good news for those of us who hope to take our kids on more exotic vacations some day.  I have thought about what it would be like for my family to spend some time playing together in Hawaii or even some place a little closer like Miami.

When looking for a hotel that my whole family can enjoy staying at, I hope to find a couple things.  Swimming pools, laundry facilities and kitchenettes are at the top of the list.  Other things I was surprised to find were milk and cookies, board games, and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches.

I’m so thankful that there is a place I can go to get the real scoop on where we’ll be staying before we show up to find something other than what we were expecting.
