The number one thing that I have found works for me to keep my household to running more smoothly is menu planning.

I know I might sound like a broken record, but that is because I can not say it enough.  It saves me so much time and aggravation when I take the time to plan a menu for the week and stick to it.

It saves me so much money too because I don’t ever find myself needing to run to the store for a last minute ingredient that I forgot to get when I was out because I didn’t know I would need it.

And lastly my home runs smoother when everyone knows whats for diner ahead of time.

Now the only thing that I needed to learn to get over was spontaneous eating.  No more eating whatever suites my mood that night.  I found that if I just go ahead and cook my planned meal everyone enjoys it when it’s time to eat.
