This week the weather has been just about perfect.
After a long snowy and cold winter I am overdue for some warmer sun filled days. And this week my pleas have been heard. In fact today it was 60 degrees out! The nicer weather just does so many great things for my soul.
The sound of birds first thing in the morning helps me to wake up joyful. I mean before my day has even begun I get to have music in my ears, and I love it! I’ll admit it might be because it reminds me of the many hours watching Cinderella with my daughter, but I just want to burst out in song the last several days.
And, I finally made my way out into my yard yesterday to play in the dirt. It may seem childish, but there is just something about getting your hands dirty that makes me feel young. Plus I love getting a head start on getting my yard ready for even more warm and sunny days to come.
I have been able to fling open my doors and windows and let in some fresh air. Fresh air is amazing after being all closed up indoors. And I’m not quite sure why it is that anytime I can open my windows it has a neat little side effect. It makes me want to clean. The clean(er) air coming through the doors and windows reminds me that this house needs a really good cleaning.
So I suggest opening your windows if you are looking for some inspiration.

I love playing in the dirt. We are going to start that soon, too. It is still very cold and it rained again today. I can’t wait to get my hands dirty and plant my garden.

I love having the windows open. And getting my fingers in the dirt!
There is nothing better than The first time you open the windows after a long winter. And finally getting your hands into the dirt to see what this year will bring.
Every window is open in my house as I type and it is wonderful!!
