If you are heading out to brave the Black Friday sales you might want to use the following list of tips to help you stay sane during all of the insanity.
Be willing to miss a deal–
If you can keep this in your mind while you are bustling about from store to store it will keep you in check when you see someone just grabbed the last item on the shelf that you wanted. Keep in mind too there will be other deals and move along so you don’t miss the next one.
Make a list –
It can get pretty crazy in the stores. You will see so many great deals that you may be tempted to grab something you didn’t need. Having a list keeps you from regretful impulse buying.
Make a plan–
Go through the ads early and make note of what time each store opens. I always map out my plan based on what time each store opens and which items I really need to get a deal on to keep under budget.
Example: If there are two stores opening at the same time, I’ll stand in line at the store that has my big-ticket item first and hope that the next store still has what I need when I get there. This way I know I’ll save a lot of money on the most important gift.
Have the ads–
Sometimes you need to reference the pictures or details in the ad if you are looking for something and having trouble finding it. Also stores like Walmart will price match so having the ad helps with that.
Remember this is not a do or die situation. I promise if you don’t get every deal it will be alright, and more than likely I can find what you want online for close to the same Black Friday price.
