Slowcooker Cherries Jubilee

Ingredients

  • 2 15 ounce cans pitted sweet cherries in heavy syrup
  • ½ cup dried cherries
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 6 tablespoons water

Instructions

  • Place canned cherries, dried cherries, sugar, orange juice, and almond extract in the
  • slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
  • Stir together the cornstarch and water. Pour into the slow cooker, switch the slow cooker
  • to high, and continue cooking for 30 minutes or until thickened.
  • Serve over ice cream, pound cake, or with whipped cream.
