- 2 15 ounce cans pitted sweet cherries in heavy syrup
- ½ cup dried cherries
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup orange juice
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 6 tablespoons water
Place canned cherries, dried cherries, sugar, orange juice, and almond extract in the
slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
Stir together the cornstarch and water. Pour into the slow cooker, switch the slow cooker
to high, and continue cooking for 30 minutes or until thickened.
Serve over ice cream, pound cake, or with whipped cream.
