I had such an amazing week celebrating my birthday, and I just have to tell you all about it.
It was one of those weeks where everything felt extra special, and my heart is so full.
Turning 48 feels like that sweet spot where you’ve learned a lot of life’s lessons but still have plenty of energy to enjoy the things you love.
It’s that point where you really start to appreciate where you’ve been, enjoy where you are, and look ahead with a little more wisdom (and maybe a lot more grace).
At this age, it’s not about chasing perfection anymore—it’s about soaking up the little moments that matter most.
My actual birthday was a blast!
I spent the morning with my sweet friends, who honestly feel more like sisters, at our weekly Bible study.
They completely spoiled me with treats, beautiful flowers, and balloons, making me feel so loved and celebrated.
It was such a special time, and I’m beyond grateful for these amazing women in my life.
That night my husband and I went on a spy-themed date night at our church with a bunch of friends, and it was seriously so much fun.
We ate a catered Qdoba dinner first (because I’m always up for some good Mexican food), and then we headed to our team to play laser tag in the entire building.
I haven’t run around like that in ages, and let me tell you, it got way more competitive than I expected.
I was dodging lasers and feeling like a secret agent.
I think I surprised both of us with how into it I got!
The fun didn’t stop there.
The next day, I got to watch my grandson play his last basketball game of the season, and oh my goodness, he played his heart out.
I was that loud, proud grandma cheering from the sidelines, and I didn’t care who heard me.
It was such a sweet moment watching him give it his all.
After the game, we headed over to my daughter’s house for more family time.
We had pizza (because pizza makes everything better) and the most delicious cake to celebrate.
It was simple and cozy, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
I just feel so blessed to be surrounded by the people I love.
Weekly Wins
I’ve been meaning to try these out and make a video to show you all how well they work and I finally did it!!
I picked up these dyeable eggs at Walmart for only $1.98, and they even came with the dyes included.
They look just like real eggs, but they’re not, which makes them so much easier to work with—no worrying about cracking or making a mess.
Plus, with the price of real eggs being so high right now, this is such a budget-friendly option.
They turned out so cute, and I love that they’re a fun and frugal way to keep the Easter tradition alive!
Favorite Find
I have to share my new favorite find!
I was sent this Ninja Slushi machine before Christmas by the company to test out, and I’m obsessed.
It’s so cool because you don’t need any ice or blending—just pour your drink in, and it turns it into a slush in minutes.
It’s perfect for smoothies, frozen drinks, and even fun treats for the kids.
The best part? There’s an amazing deal on it today, and it’s the lowest price I’ve seen yet.
If you’ve been thinking about getting one, now’s the time to snag it.
I’m already dreaming up all the fun drinks I’m going to make with it this summer!
What I’m Watching/Reading/Listening to:
I had to snap a picture of this funny little drawing I saw at my chiropractor’s office.
It gave me a good laugh! The sign says, “I’ve got your back,” and the stick figure literally took the other guy’s back.
So simple, but it cracked me up.
What’s even better is that my chiropractor really does have my back.
I always walk out feeling so much better after an adjustment, and I’m so thankful for the care they give.
It’s nice to know I’m in good hands—and with a sense of humor like this, I know I’m in the right place!
It’s these little moments that mean the most, and I’m so thankful for every single one of them.
Thanks for letting me share a little piece of my week with you. I hope it brings a smile to your face like it did to mine!
It’s funny how the simplest things—family time, fun finds, and even a good laugh at the chiropractor’s office—can fill your heart in the best way.
I’m feeling so blessed and can’t wait to see what the next week brings.
Hope your week is full of little joys too!
