It’s funny how, as I sat down to write this post, my mind went completely blank.
I couldn’t think of anything exciting that happened this week that might be worth sharing.
Isn’t it strange how life feels uneventful sometimes, even though we’re constantly living, growing, and experiencing new things?
This is the third week of writing these personal update posts, and I’ll admit—I was already tempted to throw in the towel.
Who really wants to read about my (sometimes boring) life, right?
But then I realized something important: life isn’t always about the big, exciting moments.
Sometimes, the small, seemingly uneventful days are where the magic happens.
It’s in the quiet moments that we grow, reflect, and connect with others.
Sharing the ordinary parts of life can remind us that we’re all more alike than we think.
You might be feeling like your own week wasn’t that remarkable, and guess what? That’s okay!
Life isn’t meant to be exciting 24/7—it’s the slow and steady rhythm that builds a meaningful life.
So here’s what I’m learning: even on weeks when nothing feels extraordinary, it’s worth showing up.
It’s worth sharing, connecting, and reflecting.
Because sometimes, the simple act of being present is the most powerful thing we can do.
There is one exciting thing happening soon, and I can hardly wait to share it with you!
We’re going on our very first real beach vacation.
Sure, we’ve visited beach areas before, but this time is different—it’s all about spending a few days soaking up the sun, sand, and waves without any distractions.
Last year, we got a small taste of this island during a quick six-hour visit, and let me tell you, we were absolutely hooked.
From the moment we left, we both knew we’d be back someday, but this time, we wanted to linger a little longer and fully immerse ourselves in it.
Here’s the thing—we both LOVE adventure. So much so that we always joke about needing a vacation from our vacations because we pack in so much exploring and excitement.
But not this time. This time, we’re hitting pause. No packed itineraries, no running from one thing to the next—just a few days of being total beach bums.
And honestly? I think it’s going to be the best adventure yet.
Weekly Wins
This week’s big win? Tackling the never-ending mountain of laundry.
You know, the pile that seems to multiply every time you blink. But guess what? It’s all done (for now), folded, and even put away.
It feels so good to walk into the laundry room and see an empty basket for once.
Is it weird that it almost feels like a mini-vacation?
Probably. But I’m celebrating it anyway!
Favorite Find
I just came across this gem on my phone—a picture of Rich and the kids from a couple of years ago.
It’s such a sweet memory, and if you look closely, you’ll spot a special cameo from a tiny, brand-new baby Kinsley.
What I’m Watching/Reading/Listening to:
I’ve been watching a new series on Apple TV this week called Silo.
What’s it about?
In a ruined and toxic future, a community exists in a giant underground silo that plunges hundreds of stories deep; there, people live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them.
You can also find it on Amazon Prime and I’ve really been enjoying it so far.
I like futuristic dystopia-type stories, so this one caught my attention immediately.
I’m several episodes in and have not been able to guess the entire plotline yet, so this is a massive bonus for me!
That’s a little glimpse into my week—ordinary moments, small wins, and exciting plans on the horizon.
Life may not always be full of big adventures, but it’s the mix of the everyday and the extraordinary that makes it beautiful.
What about you? What’s been a small win or exciting plan in your week? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
Until next time, take care and remember to enjoy the little things.
