Over the last several months I had the displeasure of dealing with a dirty little secret.
Out of nowhere, these little moths appeared in my home one day.
It was very strange because it was the middle of the winter. They hadn’t been lured in from outside by some bright light. They just seemed to appear from out of thin air.
After seeing the fifth little moth I finally realized something was up (I know I can be a little slow sometimes) I started my investigation to figure out where they were coming from.
I was shocked when I found out!
They were living in my baking cupboards.
This is where I keep my flour, sugars, chocolate chips, baking powder, boxed mixes, etc. Basically all the good stuff!
I don’t know where they actually came from but I ended up having to throw out practically everything! My bag of flour was the first to go. Now I have Rubbermaid to the rescue!
These Modular Canisters from Rubbermaid are the perfect way to keep your pantry organized and bug-free! They come in several different sizes to suit all of your needs. And they are see-through so you can visually see how much is left which is great for grocery planning.
Plus they seal up nice and tight so nothing can get in them, very important should you ever have to deal with the pesky pantry moths that tried to invade my home.
I need this because I want my food to stay fresh. We are always throwing out food because it goes stale in the original bag.
Hello, I’d love to win these great tupperware containers. I’m always looking for ways to organize and fit more stuff into my spaces as a working momma of 5 kiddos anything that can help with organization is AWESOME!
I found pantry moths in my kitchen a few weeks ago and I don’t want them back

I’ve been married for 5 years, and still my tupperware set is old deli meat and cool whip containers! I need these!

I need these because for the past year my family has lived in a motor home traveling with my husband’s job. We just found out that we will be sticking around a bit in our current location and will be renting a house. I will be in need of items like this. Great giveaway!:)

Oh how I would love to have these! We just moved into our first home and I’m trying so hard to get organized! This would help out so much!
.-= Angelia´s last blog ..How I Met My House =-.
I would love to have these to store and help contain the fragrance of my Indian spices. I keep them in plastic bags and the smell transfers to anything near by. These would help eliminate this transfer.
We are packing up to move to a new house and these would be great to organize our new kitchen!
Of course I follow you on Facebook!
I have a teen daughter learning to cook and this would make finding things so much easier for both of us! Everything neatly stacked and labeled would be so nice…
I need these to help keep out mice! We had them like crazy last Fall and I’m sure they’ll be back this year – but maybe I’ll be prepared and keep them from getting into everything!
You might think, since I don’t use grain, that I don’t need these. You would be oh so wrong. The heartbreak of having to throw out nice cheap white flour is nothing to the heartbreak of having to chuck 8-bucks-a-half-pound coconut flour because the weevils have found it, or lose a huge bunch of nuts because they’ve gone stale in the air. I needs me some Tupperware!:D
These containers are exactly what I need. They would be very useful in organizing my baking supplies…and they would take up less room than the bulky containers I’m currently using.
I “like” you on facebook! 🙂

I am in the midst of re-organizing my pantry and these would be such a huge help!! Thank you! 🙂
We have an overflowing cupboard right now. These containers will help us get organized.
we recently moved into an older home & i’m dealing with those same pesky moths. Except, I usually keep my flour & rice in the freezer & don’t have too much stuff in the cupboards atm. However, I still can’t figure out the source & really need some containers like these just for sanity sake!
I need these to help me get organized. My pantry is a mess so this would really help.
Ohhh, I definitely need these…I just moved and don’t have nearly as much cabinet space as I used to. I’m trying to get my cabinets organized and my staples easy to access. Thanks for the chance at winning!
Love your site… I too am looking forward to the other side of Eternity!
would enjoy having these canisters to organize and beautify my cabinets.
I love Rubbermaid and use the larger pieces. i would enjoy having these canisters to organize and beautify my cabinets.

I love to be organized. I would love to win these.
These would help me organize my messy pantry and cabinets.
These will save my dry goods from those pesky summer ants! The original packing is no help in keeping things pest free and organized.
A year ago, I had a similar problem but with meal worms. I threw out all my baking items, dry cereals, spices and anything else that was not in a can. It was a nightmare. I now keep my baking goods in plastic bags that “zipper” closed and keeps and any “pest” inside. The really bad thing about my idea, it’s really hard to keep plastic bags of items looking organized and on more than one occasion, my family has left a bag open and it has fallen on the floor and everything has spilled out all over the floor.
My cabinets are a mess! I’m planning on emptying them all out, cleaning them VERY well and reorganizing. These rubbermaid containers would help me tremendously!!!! I am a packrat when it comes to food so this would get me excited about cleaning, throwing out, and protecting the food I keep. Thank you for the opportunity!
I need these because my cupboards are a mess!!

I need these to keep out ants!
I also am having an issue with moths etc. currently and this could help me from having to put everything in the fridge!
These would be GREAT! I just moved into my kitchen in the last few months and found out I’m in need of something like this. Had I known it before we got married in December, they definitely would have been on the registry list. If I don’t win, I’ll have to scrounge the garage sales and see what I can find.
Thanks for giving me a shot!
I need these because my things fall out of my pantry when I open the door!
I NEED something like these. I have recently started couponing and checking out all of the blogs for savings. I have no room with all of the free/cheap stuff I am receiving. I need to get organized, FAST! Thanks for posting!
If you put your flour in the freezer for 72 hrs. before storing it will kill the bugs in it.
I woiuld love to win the Rubbermaid storage cannisters. Like you, I battle the “little” things that love my baking supplies. Love your blog!! Thanks for all the work!
I could use these for storing some items over the fridge. We are currently in a tiny apartment with only 2 small cabinets in the kitchen. So storing food is very hard for us.
I’m a Facebook fan too.
I need these because we have field mice and I have done everything short of starving the cats to get rid of them.I hate having to throw out food because the little critters have chewed a hole in the bag or box.
These would work great with my deep cupboards… and the furry creatures that have recently found their way into my house.
My pantry is a disaster and could definately use these canisters!
I love these! I’m looking for ways to organize my pantry and this would be awesome.

I really need these for my pantry. First of all, you should see it.. what a disaster area. Secondly, I would prefer not to have the moth thing happen so this would just be preventative measures.
I need those. Time to get rid of old tupperware canisters (o:
I have a set that is at least 15 years old and could sure use the new ones. Love them!
I need these because I have a husband and three kids who have never learned how to properly close a bag or a box.
I need these because my pantry is so narrow that the bags of flour, sugar, etc…. take up so much room! Half the time I can’t even get to the bags because stuff is piled on top!
I’m wondering if they fit with the Tupperware branded ones? I’ve got a TON of those, but need more. If the Rubbermaid is compatible with the Tupperware, it would be great!

I hate when pests get into my food supplies. I try to keep a stocked pantry and these would help keep my food safe from infestation.
These look great! I could really use these – we go through spates of baking and then not baking for a while when life gets crazier (or the house gets hot in the summer!!), and I often feel like I have to throw out the old flour and sugar just in case – I’m paranoid about bugs. I tried sealing some things in ziploc bags but these stackable bins make SO much more sense!
What a beautiful thing! Husband noticed we have ants crawling around in our cereal canister. Enough said. Oh, how these would be helpful!!

I love that they would keep my food fresher AND look so pretty and organized in the cabinet! We’ve had those moths, too–they usually come from flour from the grocery store, I think.
.-= Debbie´s last blog ..Obedience =-.
I need these because most of what I buy comes in bags, which makes it impossible to have an organized pantry! I really like the see-through aspect of the Rubbermaid containers.
.-= Maria D. @ DownrightDomesticity´s last blog ..Kids Say the Darndest Things (a Little Too Loudly) =-.
Oh, I need these! I was keeping my bags of cornmeal and flour in Ziplocks, but the mealy worms got in. So I bought a plastic gallon sized container from the dollar store – complete with screw on lid – and they got in that, too (cheap plastic! Grrr!). So now I’m biting the bullet and admitting I need something GOOD to keep my stuff in.
I need these because I put everything in large ziplock bags. A few years ago I had a horrible experience with saw tooth grain beetles. YUCK!!! Now everything I purchase in a box or bag from a store is immediately placed in a large ziplock bag for mental peace.
Those are a great idea. Moths are so gross. We bought lettuce one time and when we got home and opened the bag, moths flew out of the lettuce! So disgusting. I can only imagine there must have been eggs on the leaves when they were picked. *shudder*

I really could use these- ants and moths have invaded my home!!Thanks! glad I found your site!!
I love to bake, and this would keep all my supplies neatly organized!
I love to store things in containers that make everything neat and uniform. That and the fact that I just scored Whole Wheat flour for $.99 for a 5lb bag.
Susan
I need these because my kitchen is small and the organizational help would save my sanity!
Thanks!
Suh-weet! I had no idea that Rubbermade has modular ones now. I have a few Tupperware ones, but they are so expensive. I’m going to have to check these out!
Have a great day!

I love these. They are square/rectangular which use space better than round shapes. I have a very deep pantry. I can imagine this would work much more nicely to keep it all neat and tidy and easy to find. I would also think these would be great to planned-overs in the fridge and know what is what to pull out to put hubby’s lunch together.
I need/want these because they are clear and would be easy to see what is inside them while organizing my baking supplies nicely too.
I really need to organize—and bags in the pantry isn’t cutting it. These look great enough to keep on the counter!

I need these because I do lots of baking and end up putting my sugar and flour in the freezer to keep bugs out. These would save my freezer space! Plus, I buy the bagged cereal to save money and they don’t stay closed very well. I love rubbermaid!
Great idea-this happened to my sister years ago with a corn muffin mix–she still has a hard time eating corn muffins! Every time I open my baking cabinet, something falls out–these would be awesome.
To keep out the bugs that live in southern TX in the summer!
great give away!!
I hate throwing away food that is stale. This would also make my pantry look more organized. Thanks!!!

I need these, because since I have started couponing, I have every snack you can think of. A NORMAL person would open one thing and wait till it’s gone to open another. NOT my SI. You’d think at 25 he’d know that the cookies, pretzels, chex mix, goldfish… will get stale if left open and not eaten. NOPE… I am constantly having to throw away full bags of snacks due to them getting stale. These rubbermaid containers would help save me more money! PLUS, I am an organizational FREAK and these would be great for my OCD! LOL.

My heart did a little pitter patter when I saw this! My cabinets are my #1 problem area for this year’s spring cleaning and I’ve been looking for a secure container that actually stacks to store. That’s why I need them :).

Wow, I totally could use those! I have a small galley kitchen and only 3 overhead cupboards so my cupboards are always pretty full and I sometimes loose track of things. See through boxy containers would be perfect
