  • Chicken Broth
  • Oregano
  • Basil
  • Heavy Cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Butter

How to Make Creamy Tomato Soup

Add tomatoes, chicken broth, oregano and basil to crock pot. Stir well.

Cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 8 hours.

Strain soup and puree chunks in blender (or blend well with immersion blender); return puree to slow cooker.

Add cream and butter and stir well.

    This has totally replaced canned tomato soup for me! Thanks so much for the easy recipe. We usually eat half for dinner (with grilled cheese, of course), and then I freeze the rest to use in my chili the next time I make it.
