It is one of those things that I was eager to share with my own kids and they loved them just as much as I did. Now you can make them yourself at home with just a few simple ingredients.
How do you make DIY Dot Candy at home?
It is simple, start by printing off this paper template that will hold the candy dots.

Candy Dots Ingredients
- Egg White or Meringue Powder
- Powdered Sugar
- Vanilla Extract (optional)
- Orange Vitality Oil (optional)
- Food Coloring
Equipment Needed:
Saving Dollars and Sense Tip: I only recommend Young Living essential oils for food. Other essential oils are usually perfume grade and not safe for consumption.
How to Make Candy Dots
If you are using meringue powder, use 1 tbsp meringue powder and 3 tbsp water in place of egg white.
Whisk egg white until frothy.
Slowly add powdered sugar until incorporated and peaks form.
Add vanilla flavoring or Orange essential oil if desired.
Divide equally into as many bowls as you want to color.
Add one drop of color at a time to each bowl to achieve desire color.
Beat until color is uniform. Transfer each color to a zippered sandwich bag.
Print template and place under each paper you will be piping onto as you do it.
Clip a very small tip off of one corner of each bag and pipe dots onto unprinted sheets.
Allow to set for 2 hours before cutting strips apart.
