Maya Angelou was a legendary author, actress, and poet.
I grew up loving the wisdom and encouragement in the words she shared. In fact, the following quote has been one that I have clung onto throughout my life.
“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
I also love this one that has encouraged me to share my story, even the ugly parts!

She has touched so many with her strength and I am sure her words will continue to inspire us to do great things with the time we are given as well.
