I’ve been sharing my Grocery Challenge Lessons over the last few weeks, and I hope that you are finding them to be useful?
I know most of the material up to this point may seem elementary, but I assure you we are simply taking the time to lay a solid foundation. Plus, I think it is always good to review the basics from time to time.
Over the last several weeks I have shared some practical shopping tips, and this week I want to move on to how to know where to find coupons.
There are several places that you can find coupons to help you grow a nice sized coupon stash in a fairly short amount of time.
This is a good list if you want to know all of the places that you can find coupons. Please feel free to share in the comments any other ways you have found to get coupons.
Newspapers
Almost every Sunday you can expect to find a nice supply of coupons. You can always check to see which coupons are scheduled to be released each week.
I personally try to stick to 2 papers each week regardless of how many coupons are being released. I find that 2 is always enough to do any deal, and it keeps me from stockpiling more than necessary for my family. Lately, I have only been using the online printable coupons I get or the ones that come in the mail.
Printable
I have only really been using printable coupons in my shopping trips lately.
There are several ways to get printable coupons. You’ll want to check to make sure that your stores accept printable coupons first. You can call the store, stop by customer service, or check their websites for the coupon policy.
Here are a few of my favorite places to get printable coupons:
Redplum
Smartsource
Coupons.com
Coupon Network
Cool Savings
Coupon Kindness
Freebies
I share a lot of freebies here. I love getting the freebies in the mail, but I also hope every time I sign up for one that it’ll also include a coupon. I have found that just about every freebie I send for comes with a bonus coupon!
Email Lists
You can usually count of getting some coupons from any of your favorite companies when you sign up for their email lists.
Right now you can sign up for Pillsbury’s email list and enter to win a $200 Prepaid Gift Card!
You can also register FREE with this Vocalpoint and they’ll send you lots of great coupons. Many time the coupons will be for FREE full sized products. Plus they send several extra coupons to give to friends.
Follow Socially
When you follow your favorite companies and brands on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social network, you will be the first to hear about the coupons they have to offer.
I try to always share any good coupon I come across with you here and also on our Facebook page.
Trust me, you will have a nice stash of coupons after just a couple weeks. Once you have gathered your coupons you’ll want to find a way to keep them organized. After all what used to be little slips of useless paper are now equal to cold hard cash, so you need to treat them as such!
Organizing them will help you find what you need and keep you from losing or overlooking your coupons.
Next week I’ll share how you can keep your coupon stash from becoming just another pile of clutter.
