This Botanical Goat Milk Handmade Soap is so easy to make using the recipe I am sharing below.
This goat milk recipe makes 5 bars of soap from the same mold, which is more than enough to share with others.
Benefits of Goat Milk Soap
Most soap recipes contain harsh ingredients that leave skin clean, but dried out, and actually damage your skin cells.
Goat milk soap recipes like this one uses goat milk which helps to remove dead skin cells and leave the skin feeling soft, smooth and younger looking.
The alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid found in goat milk are much more gentle on the skin and perfect for anyone that wants smoother and softer skin.
- 1 pound melt & pour goat milk soap base
- dried flower and rose petals (crumbled)
- 10 drops of essential oil of your choice (I recommend Rose, Lavender, Peace & Calming, Stress Away, Jasmine or any other high quality essential oil that you love. These are some of my favorites!)
- Silicone soap mold
- Rubbing alcohol in spray bottle
- Large Pyrex measuring cup
- Wooden stir stick
How to Make Soap
Cut the soap into 1 inch cubes. Melt the soap in the microwave for 30 seconds and stir.
If it is not completely melted, put it back on for 10 second increments, until fully melted; stirring each time.
Add the essential oils and mix well.
Add some of the dried flower petals and pour into the silicone mold.
Stir a bit to evenly distribute the flower petals.
Top with more dried rose petals.
Spray lightly with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles and let set for about 2-3 hours.
Remove from mold. Using the wavy scraper, cut the soap into 2 inch bars.
