Step 5: Bake for 35 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

You can use other cuts of chicken, but adjust the cooking time to ensure the chicken reaches the proper internal temperature.

Make sure that when you check the internal temperature is to not touch the bone or it can provide a false reading.

Can I Use Shake and Bake For Pork

You are more than welcome to use this on pork if you would like. Whether you do boneless chops or bone-in you might enjoy this recipe paired with the pork over chicken.

Or if you want to alter the spices and herbs go right ahead to adjust the shake and bake recipe. You would just bake the pork until it is fully cooked through.

What To Serve With Shake and Bake Chicken

Alternative to Panko Crumbs

You can use breadcrumbs to replace the Panko breadcrumbs.

Panko crumbs offer a crispier texture than a classic breadcrumb. But go ahead and swap if you need it.

If you are gluten-free you can reach for a gluten-free breadcrumb to use.

It will alter the flavor slightly but overall you will get the same flavor components.
