Melted Snowman Bark
The best part about making this fun snowman recipe is that you don’t even have to turn on the oven.
A few simple ingredients and a little bit of time are all you need to make this perfect holiday dessert.
Ingredients Needed To Make Melted Snowman Bark
- Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups
- White candy melts
- Marshmallows
- Pretzel sticks
- Mini M&Ms
- Black Cookie Icing
- Orange Cookie Icing
Expert Tips
- Pay attention while you’re melting the white chocolate. You need to stop every 15 – 30 seconds of time and stir so that it doesn’t burn.
- Before you start stacking the ingredients on top of the chocolate to make the snowman, you need to make sure that it still has a belt of melt to it so it’ll hold everything in place as it dries.
How To Make Melted Snowman Bark
Step 1: Use parchment paper and line the baking sheet. This will prevent sticking and help you remove the snowman without breaking them.
Step 2: Cut the marshmallows in half with sharp scissors. Take the peanut butter cups out of their wrappers and cut them in half with a sharp knife. You can break the pretzel sticks in half with your hands.
Step 3: Melt the candy melts in a glass bowl and follow the directions on the package.
Step 4: Once the chocolate is melted, spoon about 2 T of the melted mixture onto the paper. This creates that melted puddle of snow look! You can use the back of a spoon to help spread it out.
Step 5: After the chocolate has been spread, start stacking the half marshmallow in the center and put the halved peanut butter cup on top Add three mini M&M’s as buttons and two of the shortened pretzel sticks for arms. After the chocolate has hardened, you can use the black icing to make eyes and the orange icing to draw on the nose.
These treats are so cute so make sure that you store them properly! All you need to do is add them to a container with a lid. They don’t have to be stored in the fridge so on the counter is just fine.
You can but your snowman might look a bit different! The white wafers give the perfect melted snow look but if you want to change it up, go for it. They’re yours to be creative with!
Unfortunately, there’s no coming back from burning the wafers. Even if the chocolate doesn’t look burnt, it’s going to have a burnt taste. You’ll need to throw it out and start the process all over again.
