Pirate Theme
Ahoy There Matey’s! Have you got a little landlubber at home? Me too. He ate this swashbuckling lunch up, pun totally intended.
Remember those sharpies we talked about before? Use them to create a simple treasure map on a sandwich bag BEFORE slipping in the turkey and cheese or whatever is on today’s menu.
Use them again on a snack bag to label your cannonballs, I use cheese balls-same thing.
For the pirate Baby Bell simply pull the middle part off and remove the bottom half of the wax cover. Use a piece of fruit roll up to cut out an eye patch with your kitchen shears.
Finish off his other eye and mouth with food pens like these. They are great and of course food safe for turning lots of goodies into something crazy cool.
I like to include fresh fruit in almost every meal, I picked up some food picks at the store that looked like swords, I have used them several times because really, what kid doesn’t love some sort of food on a stick?
I may or may not have gone a little over the top on the pirate parrot sports drink, I raided the art shelf for scrap paper and google eyes. It was fun to do and therapeutic, when is the last time you got to do arts and crafts?
Its ok momma, really, I give you permission to cut, paste, color, and dazzle your schooler while having fun yourself.
